Hey, I'm Jemma Farmer

Freelance Graphic Designer, Wife, Mother, Bookworm and Perfectionist.

I have a love for all things creative and I'm passionate in helping small businesses achieve their full potential, and allowing large businesses space for continued growth in an ever changing market. The reality of working from home. My office space is chaotic, I often sit in the lounge to work because it’s warmer, which is why my laptop isn’t present in this clip, and I have a million and one things to tidy.
One day I’ll feel organised, but until then this is your reminder that social media is not all it seems 🤍

Are you ready to tackle the week ahead? It took me until the end of last week to really feel like I was fully functioning again post Christmas, so I have made myself finally give my website the makeover it needs. There are a few finishing touches to make, but it’s nearly there.

Are your price lists up to date?

I’ve finally completed my tax return (every year I say I will get it done early 🙈), and I know many of you will be in the same boat.
It’s often around this time I receive lots of messages to amend price lists. I still have a small amount of availability for this month, drop me a message to discuss 📲

I often have people contact me who are unsure of what direction there design should head in, here is a starting point of the design process.

It’s very much a collaboration. You send me a few images, I carry out more research to check we’re working on the same page and then the design process really begins!

Are you reaching your target market? Or more specifically, is your branding restricting your market reach?

I’m incredibly guilty of this myself, almost all of my social media posts have a much greater appeal to female owned businesses, with very little masculine appeal.

Do I only work with women in business? Absolutely not, but you wouldn’t know from looking at my socials. This post is a reminder to make sure your branding appeals to your whole market. Do not restrict yourself, do not create invisible boundaries

When is the right time to rebrand? Is it necessary?

These are common feelings when running a business and if you are questioning whether it is time to rebrand or not, I would always say trust to your gut instinct.

I am a firm believer that you should 100% have a positive emotional connection to your branding, your business is your baby and you should take pride in its appearance.

Here are a few of the reasons that rebranding is the right thing to do. When branding is used to it’s full potential, it will always have a positive impact on your business growth.

Although l’m not a photographer by trade, years of Art & Design training and also having worked as nail tech have allowed me to learn a lot along the way.

Did you know before I started my Graphic Design business I was a fully booked, self employed Nail Technician? With this in mind I felt it was time to pass on some of my knowledge to help others in the beauty industry fill their diaries too.
